Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and diverse landscapes. The Tarangire River attracts a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season, making it a prime location for wildlife viewing.

The dry season from June to October is ideal for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around the river. The wet season (November to May) offers lush scenery and fewer tourists but may have more challenging driving conditions.
