(On) Payment Terms And Conditions:
The down payment is 50% of the travel sum, and you must pay it shortly after the confirmation of the trip. In the meantime, we will definitively fix the hotels and make the down payment. If you use a special promotional rate for your flights, the down payment is 50% of the land package plus the full cost of the airline tickets and airport taxes. The remainder of the travel sum must be paid no later than 65 days before the departure date of the trip. When booking within 65 days before departure the full travel sum must be paid immediately after receipt of the invoice. Only after your payment is received, we can confirm the hotels, safari jeep, flights and guide for your trip.

Cancellation policy with Terms And Conditions:
The following costs will be charged for cancellation of the trip:

– up to 65 days before departure: the deposit

– from 65 to 50 days before departure: 50% of the travel sum (*)

– from 50 days before departure: 100% of the travel sum (*)

If you have a valid reason for your cancellation, your cancellation insurance will cover the full cancellation costs.

(*) If the full costs of the airline tickets are included in the down payment, the

cancellation costs from the full costs of the flight tickets, plus the stated

percentage of the land arrangement.

In case of a change after booking on your part we can charge € 150 change costs.

Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden

African Overland Ltd is affiliated with Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden, SGR-number 3700.

Within the limits of the SGR guarantee scheme, the trips published in this program are covered by the SGR guarantee. The SGR guarantee means that the traveller is insured

to recover his prepaid travel money if his counterparty is unable to meet the agreed consideration due to financial inability. Insofar as the agreement also includes transport and the place of destination has already been reached, the return journey is taken care of.

Prices Terms And Conditions:
All prices listed on our website are per person, based on the participation of two people (unless otherwise indicated) and in euros. Visa costs, insurance, optional excursions, departure or security taxes and personal expenses are never included in the fare unless otherwise indicated. Any child discounts, supplements for Easter, Christmas or New Year’s Eve are not included in our travels as standard. We will specify these, if applicable, in your offer. All prices are subject to changes and obvious errors. Our offers are valid for a maximum of two weeks.

The roads in Tanzania / what happens in the event of a breakdown:
The roads in Tanzania are of lesser quality than in Europe. As a result, the vehicles have a lot to endure. The chance of a breakdown is therefore real. Replacement transport or a garage is not or hardly present. African Overland Ltd has an extensive network and own transport managers on site, so a breakdown is often solved within a short time. In the unlikely event that it takes longer, all passengers who have not been able to make a game drive will be reimbursed for the entire travel day.

Invoicing:
After confirming your booking you will receive an invoice stating the details of your booking. The down payment is 50% of the travel sum and must be paid by return. You must pay the remaining amount no later than 65 days before departure.

Travel documents:
Two weeks before departure you will receive all travel documents: vouchers, e-tickets, luggage tags and leaflets (if available).

Insurances:
You are obliged to take an insured trip. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance. We can help you with this.

Visa:
You are responsible for obtaining your necessary visa. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival in Tanzania. In addition to the passport, you must be in possession of a valid visa. You can request these at the Tanzanian consulate before departure or upon arrival in Tanzania. The costs are 50 $ or 50 € if you buy the visa on arrival.

Name control:
Please check the names of the travelers on the invoice carefully. If a name needs to be changed after 3 days after receipt of invoice, we are forced to charge € 125, – change costs.
