Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha at approximately 7:00 AM. After meeting your professional safari guide, enjoy a scenic drive of around 2 to 2.5 hours through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside, passing traditional Maasai villages, open plains, and picturesque farmland before reaching Tarangire National Park.
Upon arrival, your guide will complete the park entry formalities before you begin an exciting game drive through one of northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife parks. Tarangire National Park is famous for its towering baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source and attracts an incredible concentration of wildlife throughout the year.
As you explore the park, keep an eye out for its impressive elephant herds, graceful giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and a variety of antelope species. Predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs may also be spotted depending on the season and wildlife movements. Bird lovers will appreciate the park’s rich birdlife, with more than 500 recorded bird species.
Around Midday
Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic picnic sites, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the sounds of nature. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, allowing more time to discover different areas of the park and maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities.
In the afternoon
In the late afternoon, depart Tarangire National Park and begin the return journey to Arusha. You will arrive at your hotel or preferred drop-off location in the early evening, concluding an unforgettable Tanzania safari experience.
