Arrival in Arusha
Your African adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Airport. After you clear customs, our guide will be waiting with a signboard with your names on it to greet you with a smile and a traditional Tanzanian welcome. Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha takes approximately 1.5 hours, while Arusha Airport is just 30 minutes away. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to your safari. Here, you can relax, settle in, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. If you have any last-minute questions or preferences, now’s the perfect time to discuss them with your guide. Enjoy your first evening in Tanzania with a delicious dinner and taking in the vibrant surroundings.

Arusha to Tarangire
After a restful night’s sleep, your safari officially begins! Following an early breakfast, our guide will drive you from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour journey that gives you a taste of Tanzania’s rural life. As you approach the park, you’ll be greeted by iconic baobab trees and the first glimpses of wildlife.
Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, and you’ll likely encounter groups of these majestic creatures roaming the open savannah. With over 500 species of birds, the park is a paradise for birdwatchers too. As you explore, you’ll also have the chance to spot lions, leopards, and herds of wildebeest. After a full day of thrilling game drives, head to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Karatu to Serengeti
After breakfast, the transfer from Karatu to Serengeti takes 4–5 hours, with a bumpy, scenic route often referred to as the “African massage.” You’ll travel towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Your journey will be filled with opportunities to spot wildlife as you head towards one of the world’s most famous safari destinations.
Once you arrive in the Serengeti, get ready for your first game drive in this vast wilderness. The Serengeti is home to iconic predators, massive herds of wildebeest, and abundant birdlife. You’ll explore the park’s diverse landscapes—grasslands, woodlands, and riverine areas. After a day full of excitement, you’ll head to your camp or lodge for a well-deserved dinner.

Full Day in Serengeti
Two full days of game drives in the Serengeti allow you to fully immerse yourself in the wonders of this iconic park. At sunrise, you’ll head out for an early morning safari to catch the park at its most active. You might witness lions hunting, cheetahs chasing prey, and elephants grazing on the vast plains.
Serengeti is especially renowned for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of fresh grazing grounds. During your time here, your guide will take you to prime viewing areas to watch the migration in action. Ngorongoro Crater
In the early morning, a 2.5-hour drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater ensures a timely descent for an optimal wildlife viewing experience. Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems. Descend 600 meters into this ancient volcanic caldera, where wildlife thrives year-round. The lush forests, open grasslands, and soda lakes create an extraordinary habitat, home to the Big Five and hundreds of species of birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch with stunning views, followed by an afternoon game drive, where you may spot rhinos, lions, buffalo, and wildebeest. After the Ngorongoro Crater game drive, ascend to Karatu—an approximately 1-hour scenic journey through the highlands. After your safari, return to your lodge for a final dinner surrounded by the sounds of the African night.
