For Real Adventure
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park while searching for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and many bird species. In the late afternoon, drive to your budget lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will depart the lodge at 8:30 am en route to Lake Manyara National Park with a hot picnic lunch in hand. Stretching for 50 km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The compact game-viewing circuit through Lake Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy. After a full-day game drive, you will make your way to Twiga Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Early morning after breakfast, you begin the journey to Serengeti National Park. You will pass on the Ngorongoro highlands and head to the Serengeti Plains, home to one of Africa’s richest concentrations of wildlife. Search for the Big Five while observing lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, and countless antelope species. If traveling during the Great Migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive. Arriving late at your camp for overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before driving toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations and one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino. The crater is also home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, and many other animals. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the crater and drive to your nearby budget lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Karatu activities to Arusha
Enjoy a full day exploring the natural beauty and rich culture of Karatu. Begin with a scenic hike through the Northern Highland Forest Reserve to visit the Elephant Caves and the stunning Endoro Waterfalls, where elephants once dug for minerals and a 40-meter cascade flows through lush forest. Along the trail, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, birdlife, and panoramic views of the highlands. After your hike, visit Philipo Coffee Farm, a small family-run plantation near Gibb’s Farm. Learn about the coffee-growing process from picking and drying to roasting and savor a freshly brewed cup of rich Arabica coffee.
