For Real Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, an African Overland representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing with your family, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and preparing for the exciting safari adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Karatu
After breakfast, your African Overland safari guide will meet you and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park.Travel across the scenic Maasai plains, where colorful villages, acacia trees, and grazing cattle provide a wonderful introduction to rural Tanzania. Once inside the park, enjoy an exciting game drive through landscapes filled with ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant families and is also home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, antelopes, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. With a little luck, you may even spot lions or leopards resting beneath the trees. After a picnic lunch and an afternoon of wildlife viewing, continue to Karatu for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, journey through the fertile highlands where local communities cultivate wheat, corn, and coffee before entering the lush forests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater before continuing into the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Known as the “Endless Plains,” the Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest national park and is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and millions of migrating wildebeest and zebras depending on the season. After an afternoon game drive, arrive at your luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring one of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations. Your family will spend the day searching for the Serengeti’s extraordinary wildlife while enjoying spectacular landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. Watch elephants roam freely, hippos relax in rivers, giraffes browse acacia trees, and lions patrol their territory. Depending on the time of year, you may also witness the incredible Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Return to camp in the evening to enjoy dinner under a sky filled with stars and share stories from another unforgettable safari day.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, where an extraordinary concentration of wildlife creates one of the best safari experiences in Tanzania. Here, families have an excellent opportunity to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and, with a little luck, the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery before continuing to Karatu for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast, visit the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, your final wildlife destination on this unforgettable safari. Nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, the park is famous for its lush forests, diverse ecosystems, and seasonal soda lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species. During your game drive, you may encounter playful baboons, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. After enjoying a picnic lunch and your final safari experience, return to Arusha for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Stone Town, you will be transferred to your hotel for an evening of relaxation.

Day 7-10: Stone Town to North Coast (Nugwi)
At the time of your choice, you will transfer to Nungwi. This large village at Zanzibar Island’s northernmost tip was once best known as a dhow-building center. Today it’s a major tourist destination, thanks in part to the beautiful beach and stunning sunsets. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, and other water sports are the main attractions here. From Nungwi, frequented dive sites are mainly down the east coast or to Mnemba Island and reefs near Tumbatu Island. For swimmers, Nungwi’s local geography and tidal pattern mean swimming is possible at any time. Other activities available include yoga, cycling, and guided tours of the village. You will spend 4 nights at this incredible place.

Day 11: Depature
Today we bring our adventures to a close with Breakfast at our hotel.
