Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, an African Overland representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing with your family, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and preparing for the exciting safari ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the lodge gardens or simply unwind after your journey.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Karatu
After breakfast, your African Overland professional safari guide will pick you up and begin your adventure to Tarangire National Park. Known as the “Land of Giants,” Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant families, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Children and adults alike will enjoy spotting giraffes gracefully walking across the plains, zebras grazing together, playful monkeys, buffalo, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the day, travel to the charming town of Karatu for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area with spectacular viewpoints overlooking the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Continue toward the endless plains of Serengeti National Park, where every turn offers opportunities to spot incredible wildlife. Families can enjoy watching herds of zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elephants, and perhaps even lions resting under acacia trees or cheetahs scanning the open grasslands. Along the way, enjoy wildlife viewing and stunning landscapes as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains searching for fresh grazing. Lake Ndutu provides an important water source and attracts countless animals, making it a fantastic location for family-friendly game viewing and photography. Spend the evening in a comfortable seasonal tented camp surrounded by nature.
