Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, an African Overland representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing with your family, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and preparing for the exciting safari adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Karatu
After breakfast, your African Overland professional safari guide will pick you up and begin your adventure to Tarangire National Park. Known for its impressive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers an unforgettable introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Families can enjoy spotting giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of colorful birds while lions and leopards quietly patrol the landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the day, travel to the charming town of Karatu for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel through the fertile highlands of the Iraqw people, passing coffee plantations, wheat fields, and picturesque villages before entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at one of the spectacular viewpoints overlooking the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater before continuing into Serengeti National Park. Known as the “Endless Plains,” the Serengeti covers approximately 15,000 square kilometers and is home to one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife on Earth. Depending on the season, your family may witness thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles moving across the plains as part of the Great Migration. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before arriving at your luxury camp in the heart of the Seronera Valley.

Day 4: Serengeti Western Corridor – Grumeti River Adventure

Between late April and July, this region becomes one of the most exciting safari destinations in Africa as enormous herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and elands gather near the Grumeti River before attempting one of the migration’s most challenging crossings.
