Day By Day Itinerary
5-day Northern Attractions Camping Safari
For Real Adventure
Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful park known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Upon arrival, you will begin a full-day game drive exploring the park’s diverse habitats, where you may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many other species gathering around the Tarangire River. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park while surrounded by wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will continue with game viewing before exiting the park and heading to a nearby campsite for dinner and overnight stay under the stars.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will begin your journey towards the Serengeti, driving through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands before entering the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you may spot wildlife even before reaching the park gates. Once inside, you will enjoy an en-route game drive heading toward the central Seronera region, which is famous for its high concentration of predators. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and hyenas are commonly seen in this area. In the evening, you will arrive at Seronera campsite for dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 3: Full day Serengeti National Park Exploration
This day is dedicated entirely to exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you will head out for both morning and afternoon game drives in search of wildlife activity across different areas of Seronera Valley. This region is known for its large populations of big cats, especially lions and leopards, as well as hippo pools and crocodile-filled rivers. Depending on the season, you may also witness parts of the Great Migration. In the evening, you will return to the campsite for dinner and a second night in the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti as you slowly make your way toward the exit of the park. The journey continues through scenic landscapes with possible wildlife sightings along the way. You may also have an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known as the cradle of mankind. Later, you will ascend into the Ngorongoro highlands, arriving at your campsite near the crater rim in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at the campsite, surrounded by cool mountain air.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara - Arusha
Early in the morning, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, giving you an excellent chance to see the Big Five, including the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend and continue your journey toward Lake Manyara National Park for a short afternoon game drive. This park is famous for its lush forest, flamingos, and possibly tree-climbing lions. Later in the evening, you will drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
